Current Positions

Software Developer

We are actively seeking a skilled software developer to join the ERP Development Team at WolfePak Software. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of object-oriented design and development and be proficient in an object-oriented programming language. This Software Developer role involves performing application changes and enhancements to various modules of WolfePak ERP Software, including design, development, testing and documentation of the related changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IS or related field required
  • 7+ years of software development experience preferred
  • Experience with Delphi preferred
  • Working knowledge of and/or experience with at least one object-oriented programming language; e.g. Object Pascal, Java, C#, C++, etc.
  • Ability to design, develop, debug, test and implement application solutions according to project requirements
  • Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and client/server architecture
  • Motivated, self-directed individual who works well as part of a team
  • Strong initiative to handle complex problems and break them down into manageable units
  • Ability to drive a plan and/or project thru to completion
  • Be a quick learner with an ability to master new tools, technologies and concepts

Key Responsibilities

  • Write well designed, testable, documented code from project requirements that are provided
  • Implement software changes with the awareness and sensitivity of impact to the system as a whole
  • Learn and adhere to the adopted coding standards used by the ERP Development Team
  • Learn and become proficient with Delphi and all other necessary development tools
  • Learn and gain familiarity with WolfePak ERP Software

Daily Tasks

  • Monitor your software development change requests and implement changes for requests based on priority
  • Review requirements for system changes and enhancements, analyze those requests and translate them to necessary programming changes
  • Perform necessary designing, coding, debugging, testing and documentation (using the Delphi IDE and any other necessary tools)
  • Check in corresponding application changes using our version control system (currently using GitHub)

Business Analyst

WolfePak Software is based in Abilene Texas with remote offices throughout the United States and Canada specializing in the management, design and implementation of software solutions that leverage business critical documents and operations. WolfePak is an oil & gas software solutions company that opened its doors in Abilene, TX in 1986. Today, WolfePak has customers in 43 states and around the world, including businesses in other industries.

As our team grows, we are seeking a Business Analyst. Primary duties include the analysis of new functionality and the establishment of business practices as a key member in a small, tightly-knit development team. This key individual should have experience making decisions and working both independently and also as part of a small, dynamic team where everything you do makes a difference.

Required Skills

  • Must have 5 years of experience in a relevant industry vertical. (document management, imaging, accounting and/or workflow.)
  • Must have 2+ years of experience in Business Analysis practice
  • Must have proven proficiency / mastery of basic Business Analyst competencies
  • Ability to formulate concepts; communication of technical information to a non-technical audience; communication of business information to a technical audience.
  • Knowledge of business processes; ability to have a business-oriented vision; case development; business writing; modeling techniques.
  • Analytical and conceptual expertise; documentation, analysis and business requirements management techniques; object-oriented analysis; evaluation of profitability/risk; testing, verification and validation techniques.
  • Experience writing user acceptance test scenarios, and executing those scenarios to ensure they meet the user requests

Optional but extremely desirable skills

  • Experience in Reporting/ Business Intelligence suites and application integration is an asset.
  • Experience in Data Retrieval & Analysis from application databases is an asset.
  • Knowledge of both traditional waterfall and Agile project methodologies is an asset.
  • Practical knowledge and experience working with an Agile environment is an asset

Quality Assurance Analyst

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to focus on our new Cloud-based system. Primary duties include testing all-new feature enhancements, maintaining test cases and overall regression testing of the application. This key individual should have experience making decisions and working both independently and as part of a small, dynamic team where everything you do makes a difference.

Required skills

  • Experience in all aspects of software testing, including functional and regression testing
  • 3-5 years experience in software testing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with deadlines
  • Flexibility and proficiency at setting priorities
  • Experience with project management tracking systems, such as Target Process
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities and problem-solving skills

Optional experience but extremely desirable

  • Oil and gas accounting application experience
  • Experience writing test cases
  • Experience testing cloud-based web applications
  • Experience with test automation suits
  • Experience with continuous integration systems such as TeamCity
