Karen currently serves as Vice President and Sales Manager for WolfePak. After working 4 years for a large, local, public accounting firm Karen came to work for WolfePak Software in 1991 and immediately became a brand new CPA in the state of TX.  She was proud to be WolfePak’s first non-family member employee.  Karen had previously used WolfePak at the CPA firm since 1987 and found the software extremely user friendly and intuitive and was excited to enter into this new frontier.  Very quickly she realized that working at WolfePak meant she would have to learn the oil and gas industry and gained valuable experience by doing onsite training for some of WolfePak’s first oil and gas customers.

Karen has been involved with many organizations including past President of the Institute of Management Accountants-Abilene chapter, Treasurer of the Abilene Texas Society of CPA’s, member of the Chamber of Commerce’s Abilene Business Council, recipient of the Business Associate of the Year Award by the American Business Women of Abilene in 2002, member of the Council of Petroleum Accountant’s Society, and Leadership Abilene Graduate – class of 1998.

In addition to Karen’s very full WolfePak schedule she also spends time raising her teenage daughter, is a certified master gardener, avid reader and active church member at First Central Presbyterian Church.  In her “spare” time she is studying for the Forensic CPA certification.
